MAR 6: SARAH OBAMA, Kenyan Grandmother of B. Hussein Obama: "Untruths are told that don't have anything to do with what Barack is about. I am very against it." And we wonder where BHO got his penchant for saying nothing.

MAR 5: OHIO VOTER on CNN Broadcast, while standing in line waiting to vote: "We was just waiting and waiting and waiting. It was so flustrating." Yeah, and I bet your "flustration" grew as the Hillary vote rolled in.

MAR 4 RONALD REAGAN: in the "Boys of Pointe du Hoc speech on Omaha Beach: "You were here to liberate, not to conquer, and so you and others did not doubt your cause. And you were right not do doubt." Now I asked you...has a liberal EVER had this kind of insight into American military activity? Nope.

MAR 3: ANN COULTER: "If John Kerry had a dollar for everytime he bragged about serving in Viet Nam....oh wait...he does." Indeed, and he did not work for a single one of them. Unless you call gold digging hard work. And this one follows the March 1 quote nicely anyway...MAR 1: BARACK OBAMA: "John Kerry believes in an America where hard work is rewarded." Indeed. Afterall, chasing down and marrying one rich babe...then divorcing her and chasing down and marrying an even richer one is hard hard work indeed. How does it go? A chicken in every pot and a rich widow in every bedroom?

FEB 28: WILLIAM F. BUCKLEY: "Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views." That pretty much sums it up, don't you think?

FEB 27: W. SOMERSET MAUGHMAM: "It's a funny thing about life. If you refuse to accept anything but the very best, you will very often get it." Yeah, but apparently not in the 2008 Presidential choices.

FEB 26: RALPH NADER, announcing yet another presidential run: "Descent is the mother of ascent." Really? Do we know who the father is? Do we have any idea what the heck you're talking about?

FEB 25: TINAY FEY as host of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: "Bitches get things done. It's not too late Texas and Ohio...get on board...bitch is the new black!" And there you have the crux of the Democrat primary process...bitch is the new black.

FEB 21: T. BOONE PICKENS: a former Giuliani supporter...on whether he will support McCain:"I'm a Republican...and whoever our guys is...is who I'll support." He also said that "two years from now, if we don't have a world wide recession, we'll have 150 dollar a barrell oil." Well...if McCain wins...or Obama...we'll have that worldwide recession.

FEB 20: RON INSANA on CNBC talking about stock market bubbles, commodity bubbles, etc: The seeds of the next bubble are really sewn in the policy response to the bursting of the prior bubble." Now see, this is a brilliant comment...and what Ron is saying here is that government screws things up in market systems. (for those educated in govt schools, market systems refers to what our economy is supposed to be, and was, before too many folks educated in government schools got into the government.) Of course, some policies like, say, drilling in ANWR etc, would be a nice policy response for the oil bubble we are on now. If we don't do something, we'll cure the oil bubble with a deep doo doo recession.

FEB 19: IN HONOR OF FIDEL CASTRO's resignation: C. EDMUND WRIGHT: "Cuba is bankrupt...and only a communist dictatorship could screw it up that bad. It's gorgeous, has fabulous weather, fabulous soil and fabulous people. Give me Cuba, and I'll turn a profit in the first quarter." Wright on Wright: yeah, much like California too.

FEB 18: von GOETHE: "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." Yep. Like perhaps those who think we are "free" in this country when Obama, or Hillary...or McCain...vote in ways that increase TAXES. Or increases regulation in name of climate change. Or ruins property rights under the guise of wetland protection...you know...the way all liberal policies erode freedoms.

FEB 17: RONALD REAGAN: "Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty." That would be kind of like an overgrown centralized Federal Government...like say the 3 trillion dollar per year baby we have now in DC. Kind of plays right into our efforts to move the power structure of the GOP out of DC also....

FEB 16 NEWT GINGRICH: "A mere fourty years ago beach volleyball was just beginning. No government bureaucrat invented it...and that's what freedom is all about." You got it Newt. And beach volleyball has it all...skin, sweat, athleticism, winners and losers...sand...water....way too good for it to ever come from a bureacrat.

FEB 15: BILL CLINTON: "If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." Now WAIT A MINUTE! I thought the weapons of mass destruction thing was a lie cooked up by Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld. Oh well...let's go with it. "Clinton lied...people died." ---

FEB 14: DONALD RUMSFELD "If you try to please everybody....somebody's not going to like it." Hmm...wonder why nobody ever told Rummy's previous boss about this concept? Are you listening Mr. Prez? ----

FEB 13 WINSTON CHURCHILL: "It has been said the democracy is the worst form of government...except all others tht have been tried." Yeah, I agree Sir Winston...though we might test that theorem this year in this country.-----

FEB 12 GEORGE WASHINGTON: "If the freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter." Now come on George...haven't you heard about McCain-Find Gold...the free speech be damned bill put forth by our esteemed conservative colleague from the territory of Arizona? Or perhaps McCain hasn't heard of the Founding Fathers.....----

FEB 11 RONALD REAGAN: "Nations crumble from within when the citizenry asks things of government the citizenry ought to provide for itself." Enuff said, I think. Please forward this on the Schwarzenegger's office asap.

FEB 9 RONALD REAGAN: "Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves. Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty." -- Perhaps we should send this one to the McCain HQ. You might want to filter McCain Feingold CFR through that last part of that statement.

FEB 8 MITT ROMNEY in his terrific speech at the Conservative Political Action Convention (CPAC): "Dependency is death to initiative, risk taking and opportunity. Dependency is a culture killing drug. We have to fight it like the poison it is." Amen brother. Pass the plate. Romney went to cite a study last week that demonRETURN TO HOME PAGEstrated the fact that "government workers make more money than people who work in the private sector. Can you imagine what happens to an economy where the best opportunities are for bureaucrats?" -- of course we don't have to imagine it. Can you say Soviet Union? Cuba? California?

FEB 7 ANN COULTER: "Liberals use the word science exactly as they use the word constitutional. Both words are nothing more or less than a general statement of liberal aproval, having nothing to do with either science or the Constitution. Thus, for example, the following makes sense to liberals: President Clinton saved the Constitution by repeatedly (having sex with) a fat Jewish girl in the Oval Office." -- From her book GODLESS: The Church of Liberalism.

FEB 6 DICK ARMEY had a brilliant and salient point....actually two points...today while being interviewd on CNBC's Squawk Box show. He was talking about the ridiculous populist and liberal things that many candidates, including John McCain and Mike Huckabee, say on the stump. They are our thoughts for the day:

"Politics is juvenile delinquency. They (politicians) say the dumbest things. That is what they do. Unfortunately, the Democrats believe it." -- yeah, and I'm afraid Huck and Mac do too.

and...

"There is a litmus test to get into the Democratic party. You have to show that you are an economic illiterate." (which is nice since two of the co-hosts for this financial show are liberal Democrats....)
