TOP TEN REASONS the Obama-Wright issue is totally different from the McCain-Hagee issue:
10: Barack Obama has been a member of Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years. McCain is not and never has been a member of Hagee’s church.
9. Hagee has made some embarrassing comments over the years…Wright spews hate from the pulpit on a regular basis.
8. Wright is Obama’s Spiritual Advisor and Mentor, Hagee and McCain scarcely know each other.
7. Wright was scheduled to speak at Obama’s Presidential run announcement. Hagee was against McCain when he announced.
6. Hagee has never said God Damn America….or God Damn anything….from the pulpit.
5. Hagee has never done a Britney Spears hip thrust in the pulpit (thank GOD).
4. Hagee’s ridiculous comments, while disturbing, have never been anti-American. This is an important distinction, since , uh, we ARE talking about a Presidential Campaign here.
3. McCain’s wife has never talked about being ashamed of America….Obama’s wife, a congregant of Wrights, has.
2. A large part of Obama’s voting base still, to this minute, agree with Jeremiah Wright and support his message and are expecting Obama to take that attitude to the White House. And so is Obama’s church and their new pastor.
...and the number one reason the Obama-Wright relationship is totally different than the McCain-Hagee relationship is...
1. Well known McCain has been in government for decades without a whiff of racism….in contrast to newby Obama claiming to be a uniter abd the first “post-racial” candidate…and this church membership is the only thing we know about him with 20 years of history to it.
