This is the fruit of a moderate economy. Moderate economy? Yes.....an economy born of moderate concessions because our fearless leaders are more afraid of offending the muddled middle than they are of economic realities. Friends, that is NOT leadership.

I do not know where today will lead us....but I am sure of this. It is 100 dollar oil that has done this to us as it played on top of a monopoly money mortgage and housing industry.  And both of those can be tied directly to wimpish leadership in defference to the left and left center.

First on oil....our economy as it turns out cannot survive what we all knew in our gut months ago it could not survive...100 dollar oil. And we have 100 dollar oil because we have run from our own massive oil reserves in the name of going green and in the name of "not in our backyard."  Take Florida. Governed by one Jeb Bush, Florida is doing all it can to stand in the way of any drilling off its shores on either the Gulf or Atlantic coast.  Jeb, being a Bush, wants the moderates to not hate him. He also wants to protect his beaches for tourism. Well guess what Jeb, since no one can afford to travel now, your damn beaches will be empty. How's your tourism going to go now? BTW...we've all heard about the South Florida real estate crash. Did it ever dawn on you that it is tied to these issues?

And that's just one micro example of a macro problem. Take all of those type issues and superimpose them on a housing market inflated by easy credit. There are many causes of the easy credit, but one big cause is related to the push to give mortgages to anyone who has lived in the same shopping cart for more than two weeks. Much of this is tied to minority lending pressures. Again, with the new tone and childish desire to be liked, our leaders have capitulated counter to common sense and economic realities. Now those chickens are coming home to roost.

Thank you George W. You have, in the name of the new tone, taken liberal stances on far too many issues and this terrible result is now upon us.  And not only that, but because you are a Republican the blame for all of this will fall on us.....and conservatism....and the knee jerk reaction by voters will be to vote in more liberals.....which of course will make things even worse.

This GWB is why "we" do not like you. You betrayed us in hopes Ted Kennedy would like you. Well get a clue. He doesn't...and now we don't either.  Good riddance!!!!!!
