Well, probably not...but Ms Mills has put former Democrat nominee John Kerry to shame in one key liberal category....gold digging. As you might remember, Kerry built his financial empire by marrying one very rich and then one extremely rich woman. (I vaguely remember something about serving in Viet Nam also...). The second woman, Teresa Heinz, was loaded thanks the to the free market capitalism efforts of a Republican famiy, the Heinz's of Pennsylvania.

Apparently not burdened by the philosophies and beliefs of her husband...but nontheless drunk with political power bestowed on wives of Senators...Teresa agreed to a merger with Kerry after Senator Heinz was killed in a plane crash. And Kerry, more skilled in social climbing than wind surfing, used that fortune built on conservative principals to elevate his liberal career to new levels. (not sure which of John Edward's Two America's this fits....)

But Kerry has been shown to be no more than rank amateur status as far as gold digging goes as of this week. It has been announced that Heather Mills will unburden the Paul McCartney empire of some 108 million dollars. Now in socialist Europe, that's a HELLUVA LOTTA after tax dollars.

The breakdown of this haul works out to about 75 thousand bucks a day for Mills for the duration of the marriage. Sounds like a good reason for a Cayman Island trip to me. Also reminds me of something Ronald Reagan said about politics and it's stunning similarities with the oldest profession....

Pennsylvania Governor Easy Ed Rendell has now taken normally twisted liberal logic (oxymoron if ever there was one) to even new heights...or lows...of oxymoronicness. (that is a real word and if you disagree I'll tell the teacher you hurt my self esteem!).

Rendell has now proclaimed that Clinton will do well in Pennsylvania because that state has "conservative whites here, and ...some whites who are probably not ready to vote for an African-American candidate." Well blow me down and take off your hood. Thank God Rendell isn't a reporter for the golf channel or talk show host turned commentator on ESPN....or they might want to lyn----no, can't say that....how about han----no, can't say that EITHER...or maybe crusif---no, can't say that for sure..... Well hell, lets just say it might not be good for him.

But back to the major point. And that is, the REAL RACISM in this country is in the north. And it's among LIBERALS...not conservatives. And Easy Ed knows this....because sure as heck it won't be "conservative whites" voting in a Democratic primary. They may be white. They may be racist. They may be Democrat or they may be "independent." Perhaps a tiny smidgeon of them will be Republicans.  But they will sure as shootin' (a little 2nd Amendment lingo there) will NOT be conservatives.

But knowing this...and admitting this...are not the same thing for Democrats. You know, when a Republican makes a gay proposition in a bathroom, he is run out on a rail. (and an unsuccessful effort at that).  When a leading Democrat uses his congressional office as a booming gay brothel with a large carbon footprint, he is called Mr. Chairman. Tit for tat, I guess. Or tat for tat.

But I digress. Rendell has to avert attention to the issue of racist liberal Democrats in his beloved state...being racists on HIS WATCH...by blaming folks who aren't liberal or Democrat for this behavior. Kind of like blaming the stockbrokers in Manhattan for 9-11. (which Rendell might have done also....)

So the Dems are having their Jefferson-Jackson Dinner tonight in Virginia. Well good. I wonder if any of them have any idea who Jefferson and Jackson are? Let alone what they stood for...and what , if anything, that could possibly have to do with the modern day Democrats.

I figure the Jefferson and Jackson they are talking about are William Jefferson, Democrat congressman from Louisiana...he of the 99 thou in cold cash in his freezer. This of course makes him positively minor league as far as corrupt Louisiana politicians go. And the Jackson must certainly be the Reverend Jesse Jackson. Jackson, you might remember, needed some freezer cash to pay for one of his illegitimate "love children" a few years back.

These two corrupt operatives are certainly more consistent with what this party stands for now than Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson. For example:

"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government." - Thomas Jefferson. Let me translate this...a good government is one that does not over tax or over regulate work, success, business.

Government workers now make more money on average than workers in the private sector. Now think about just how stunning (and dangerous) this is.

A: first, we've been bombarded for years by the media and by government workers unions with how underpaid government workers are...and too many believed it. They have tried to shame us for years with this lie. Remember...the quintessential government worker can be seen at your local DMV. Could these people POSSIBLY be underpaid? Should they make more than you?

B: Many government workers only work til about 3 o clock and work only 8-9 months a year. And by every measurement, their product is horrible. Think about that.

C: How long can we avoid being a full fledged socialist state if this continues? Really? At some point we will reach a point where we are by definition socialist. (If you don't know what "by definition socialist" means I refer you to the problem addressed in point B above.)

D: What this means is...the best opportunities in our society now are (statistically) for bureaucrats. The best way to make money is to now work in a situation where no matter how absolutely lousy you are, you cannot be fired and you'll get raises and bennies every year til you retire...and then you'll get raises and bennies for officially not working til you die.

E: Remember the email going around that takes by elimination the work force down to the conclusion that there are now "only 2 people to do all the work in the country and I'm tired as hell"....well....we ain't far from that reality. Seriously....who will create the wealth to keep putting the miik in the government tit if the country is set up to reward the opposite mentality?

F: As we know, there's only one thing government agencies do well...and that's take their phones off the hook. Wonder how much the people in charge of doing that make?

After thinking about this, I "am tired as hell" and needy you to help!

OK I get it now....in light of the fact that conservative policies work, liberal members of the media elite now have a new strategy for dealing with this inconvenience. That tactic is to trash the strategy unmercifully (ala Iraq Surge) until it works, THEN quietly say "it's pretty much done" and indicate that focusing on that issue is yesterday's news.

Take Joe Klein on the show Morning Joe (no relation). When talking about beating Al Queada, he said that we (I guess meaning the US Military, tho it's unusual for a lib to consider them we) "have pretty much done that now" and that all remaining is "some mop up work." HUH? How did we get from "General Betray-Us" to mop up? Quickly and quietly I guess...so as to insure that a GOP President and his supporters get aboslutely NO credit for it. Had Clinton done the surge, we'd have seen a ticker tape parade.

But it gets better. Now apparently the US should invest the resources it is spending in Iraq on get this..."BUILDING POWER FACILITIES" like China and Britain. Sounds like a big carbon footprint to me. And shhh...those would be "nuclear" facilities. Also sounds like some good conservative ideas. (a point totally lost on host Joe Scarborough...former conservative.)  Beam me up Scottie.... 

You just gotta love these people....in the sense that they are so predictable in kind of a nauseatingly hypocritical way. Yes, these magnificently progressive folks just showed us a thing or two about racial equality. Their form of equality is that the blacks and whites dissed each other in almost equal amounts.

The black guy got almost 80% of the black vote and the whities got almost the same amount of the white vote. THAT is racial equality, Democrat style! (As opposed to a white cowboy President naming Af-Ams to minor jobs like Secretary of State (twice), National Security Advisor, Secretary of Education and so on.)  It's very revealing really. Conservatives put Condi Rice in positions where she could impact the world more than perhaps any African American (and, btw, any woman) in history.....the liberals put her on the front of a box of pancake mix.

And to cap it off, we can now expect the Clinton machine to spin the 27 point loss in the Palmetto State as simply a "black vote" thing. This after the same machine had questioned whether Obama had "street cred" as a real black guy a few months ago. I guess us conservatives just don't understand racial equality....you know...that little issue from MLK  that we judge people on the content of their character and not color of their skin. But why worry with that....when we need to characterize SC as just one big ghetto and raise hell about the comments of a reporter on the Golf Channel and other important stuff like that!
