You can't make this stuff up....not sober, anyway....

Is it just me...or are Andrea Mitchell (various NBC networks) and Joan Rivers (recent GEICO commercial) the same person? Proof that molecular structure can function without movement.

Hillary Clinton now trying a new strategy against B. Hussein Obama...saying "actions are more important than speech" and "talk is cheap" and so on. This is the woman who has been "fighting all my life" for this cause and that cause...and all she's done in those fights has been work from behind a mircrophone or in front of a camera.

Pat Buchanan says that McCain must NOT try and fake it to the right...but must "consolidate the base by saying 'look folks...we either hang together on this or we will hang separately' " and so on....related to judges, Iraq, etc. He then added that McCain must be more positive and get off "the grumpy thing." No doubt about it..."hang together or hang separately" is one heckuva positive rallying cry. I think I'm grumpy now.

Has Mitt Romney gotten taller...or has McCain continued to shrink? Yesterday in Mitt's endorsement...it was hard for the camera's to get both heads in the same shot. Wonder how much dramamine Mitt had to swallow to keep from getting queasy for this moment. I didn't have nearly enough.

Jonathon Alter, the Newsweek / cable news lib who clearly lost material inside his skull in addition to losing the hair on top of it, was seriously digging into a non issue...what Georgia congressman John Lewis does with his endorsement. He referred to Lewis as a "revered civil rights leader" which of course means that Lewis is a racist and serial liar when talking about race. This transcendant figure, like all civil rights leaders in congress, comes from a district that is about 70% black...and he wins by getting about 135% of the black vote (learned that from his Chicago buddies) and about 10% of the white vote. Anyway, Lewis said that the slave trade lost 200 million black slaves while transporting them from West Africa to the new world. So many, he said, that sharks still swim those trade routes looking for the dark meat. He said all this seriously. Now I'm not up on the new math, but that's a lotta of those tiny little ships...about a million...that must have sunk. And those are some dadburn old sharks with real good memories. Comes from all the fish oil they eat, no doubt.

Columnist and commentator Charles Krauthammer has it right on Mike Huckabee I think. Krauthammer, commenting on the question of "why Huckabee is still running"  mused that Huckabee's campaign is now "all about him" and not about anything as noble as he claims. In addition to the fact that as long as he runs, people will pay attention to him and that his donor list expands...all true....Krauthammer added  "if he drops out, then no one will listen when he picks up his guitar" anymore. That sounds right to me ...but this JUST IN. A  poll just released shows Huckabee only down 45%-41% to McCain in OHIO! If that's right, and Huck is competitive in...or wins...Ohio...the straight talk express will need more than a tune up. It will need to can the hybrid moderate engine and install a big right wing diesel gas guzzlin big block under the hood to keep on track. Or get on track.

Shock shock...McCain aid McKinnon will not fight Obama....as this site predicted days ago...

So media maven Mark McKinnon, he of "Maverick" Media Consulting (literally) will not campaign against B. Hussein  Obama. Well that's just great. Actually, it is great since McKinnon has never been involved with any Republicans before his work with George W. Bush and then this year with McCain. Before that, he was a media guy for many Democrats including Ann "Ma" Richards in Texas and some other very partisan and very liberal Dems. I imagine it would rather damage his delicate sensibilities for me to have used B. Hussein Obama above. Certainly he would think I was referencing the rather striking similarities between the Illinois Senator's name and those of numerous terrorists and mass murderers..but I was simply paying homage to the American Bar Association by doing what all lawyers do...us the first initial and middle name. (Then again, I am C. Edmund Wright and not an attorney or American Bar member).

But back to McKinnon. Other than some work for Bush, he has done PR consulting for "foundations and the like." Foundations being non commercial enterprises who get their money from taxes or from donations. "The like" being non commercial enterprises that get their money from taxes or from donations. Am I spotting a trend here?

Like all in the McCain camp, this is not a guy well versed with the nuts and bolts of the free enterprise system. George Bush, John McCain, a bunch of "foundations" and a bunch of liberals. Not exactly conservative base central. While we're at it, why not the city of Berkely... heading up their PR as they fight to keep the Marines from recruiting in their corporate limits. He can also represent terrorists against water boarding....then come back and work for Republican nominee Olympia Snow in 2012. (the thought gives me the shivers)

Actually, McKinnon...and the hiring of McKinnon...represent how far out of touch with the base voters the Republican establishment is. Mr Establishment...McCain..is counting on one of the long time Democrat establishment types...McKinnon.. to run the campaign. With all due respect, tying Al Gore and nipping John Kerry by a few percentage points is not all that impressive to me and does not give McKinnon street cred...except on M Street.

The GOP hierarchy has no idea why someone is, or should be, or could be, a conservative. These are people not of American heartland...not of the free enterprise system, not of small businesses. Taking money from foundations that they took from taxes or donations to produce some PR pieces is not exactly like running a contracting business or a retail store or an insurance agency. It's inside the beltway hobnobbing and cocktail parties. Running a campaign for Ma Richards sure as heck doesn't qualify anyone about real life conservative America and how to represent them and handle PR for their interests and candidates.

So it's no surprise that McKinnon won't fight Obama. BeatJohnMcCain predicted that McCain himself won't fight Obama...not really. At least McKinnon is admitting it. McCain won't admit it. He won't fight. He'll ride off into the sunset like Bob Dole did...a gracious LOSER....who took "his turn" at losing because he was of the GOP establishment and it was "his turn."

Obama will win the Presidency. McCain will become a lobbyist (McCain-Find-Gold, you know) and McKinnon will make more money representing some liberal foundation's PR effort after Obama and the liberal congress triples the domestic budget for all liberal foundations. Won't that be fun? More fodder for moving the RNC out of Washington! LINK HERE

Country eagerly awaits endorsement from Gore, Edwards........yeah, right.

Posted on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 04:56AM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright in | CommentsPost a Comment | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

With the B. Hussein Obama campaign staff busily measuring for Oval Office drapes and getting ready for "transition," we are told that Al Gore and John Edwards (contrary to popular belief, not separated at birth) are both now closing in on endoresment decisions for the Democrat's nominating process. Sad isn't it...that we never had this kind of decisive forward thinking decision making prowess in the White House?

But being behind the curve isn't so new for Gore. Afterall, he only got around to inventing the internet in the mid 1990s. We can only hope his latest bag phone is small enough to be a carry on instead of being checked at the gate. We eagerly await his discovery of the health craze....which should among other things reduce his methane contribution and reduce his carbon footprint. At least the depth of those footprints.

And for Edwards, he is looking for a "third America," hoping that yet another America might be a country vaguely interested in his leadership. Initial reports are that the third Amercica could get misplaced in your average hybrid sedan. Edwards was to meet with Obama this week to 'negotiate" his endorsement. (the depth of the conviction of the Dems is just inspiring, ain't it?). We hear that the meeting was delayed as no tranlator could be found to bridge the gap between Edward's phony John Denver accent and Hussein Obama's fraudulent "down for the struggle" Jessie-bonics. Apparently Fritz Hollings was not available.

EZ Ed Rendell blames Dem racism on white conservatism.....huh?

Pennsylvania Governor Easy Ed Rendell has now taken normally twisted liberal logic (oxymoron if ever there was one) to even new heights...or lows...of oxymoronicness. (that is a real word and if you disagree I'll tell the teacher you hurt my self esteem!).

Rendell has now proclaimed that Clinton will do well in Pennsylvania because that state has "conservative whites here, and ...some whites who are probably not ready to vote for an African-American candidate." Well blow me down and take off your hood. Thank God Rendell isn't a reporter for the golf channel or talk show host turned commentator on ESPN....or they might want to lyn----no, can't say that....how about han----no, can't say that EITHER...or maybe crusif---no, can't say that for sure..... Well hell, lets just say it might not be good for him.

But back to the major point. And that is, the REAL RACISM in this country is in the north. And it's among LIBERALS...not conservatives. And Easy Ed knows this....because sure as heck it won't be "conservative whites" voting in a Democratic primary. They may be white. They may be racist. They may be Democrat or they may be "independent." Perhaps a tiny smidgeon of them will be Republicans.  But they will sure as shootin' (a little 2nd Amendment lingo there) will NOT be conservatives.

But knowing this...and admitting this...are not the same thing for Democrats. You know, when a Republican makes a gay proposition in a bathroom, he is run out on a rail. (and an unsuccessful effort at that).  When a leading Democrat uses his congressional office as a booming gay brothel with a large carbon footprint, he is called Mr. Chairman. Tit for tat, I guess. Or tat for tat.

But I digress. Rendell has to avert attention to the issue of racist liberal Democrats in his beloved state...being racists on HIS WATCH...by blaming folks who aren't liberal or Democrat for this behavior. Kind of like blaming the stockbrokers in Manhattan for 9-11. (which Rendell might have done also....)

Which is more worthless?....today's GOP strategist or an S&L from the 1980's (and McCain's ties to both...)

When you hear a Republican strategist these days say that they would "rather face Obama" than Hillary Clinton, you need to hold your wallet (and your breakfast for that matter.) Right.

Just like, say, a Savings and Loan in the 1980's telling you their "check was good." Thus the old joke from the traditional banks..."come in and buy a toaster...and we'll give you an S&L." (for those of you who think recorded history started with American Idol, S&L's used to give away toasters to new savings account holders).

But back to strategists and their lack of value. The GOP is using the same tired old cadre of consultants that brought about the disaster of Bush Quayle 92, Dole Kemp 96, congressional disasters of 92, 98, 2006...etc. They have been paid a zillion dollars to be wrong almost all the time. And they LOVE McCain as a candidate. (they should read this link) And these guys are still giving...er selling...this worthless advice based on their faulty template.

And the S&L debacle of the 1980s? And McCain? Yes indeed. McCain knows virtually nothing about the free enterprise system...except that it can be good for donations. McCain has the only "Republican seat" on the infamous Keating Five (rhymes with cheating). Those were five corrupt congressmen who accepted bribes to keep quiet so S&Ls could hide their shaky finanical status related to, of all things, inflated real estate collateral and bad loans. (sound vaguely familiar?)

McCain, S&L scandals, worthless real estate and worthless consutlants. Hell, I'm excited. Are you?

Do we need any more proof that the GOP should move their operations out of DC?

Tonight in the District of Columbia (that's Washington DC for those of your educated in our government schools), some 100 thousand Democrats cast votes in their Presidential primary. About 4 thousand Republicans voted.

In Virginia, which includes most of the greater Washington area, about a million Democrats casts votes. About 400 thousand Republicans voted. And in Maryland, kind of like Virginia but for some reason much more "blue statist," the count will be about 650 thousand to less than 200 thousand.

In other words, it is not safe to be a Republican, let alone a conservative, in the DC area. The culture just moves way too hard in the other direction.

And the GOP cannot represent their base as long as the entire party apparatus has to live and exist and get along in this environment. The RNC MUST be moved. TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS EXCITING IDEA--CLICK HERE

Huck, Morning Joe, beltway blindness and the Apostle Paul.....

Well Mike Huckabee made his appearance du jour (that means "daily" for those of you educated in government schools) on MSNBC's Morning Joe again today...and of course this means his appearance is a better kept secret than missile technology during the Clinton administration. In fact, we think Sandy Burglar can spirit the entire MJ audience out of a building in his underwear...give or take a cigar here and there.

But this is lost on Huck, who continues to credit this show for his success while showing a stunning ignorance on the massive influence talk radio and the internet have on conservative voters. He and McCain also show a stunning ignorance on what it is we stand for too...which is the major problem in keeping the White House free of a man whose name can't be distinguished from many on a Guantanamo roster.

But why would Huck continue to brown nose shows with audiences roughly 1/100th of the Limbaugh show or 1/70th the Hannity show....while disparaging those hosts and audiences as greedy, power hungry and irrelevant? Maybe it's the bright lights of television. As we know, TV is all about emotion and radio is all about intellect...and certainly there has been much in this campaign that shall we say, de-emphasizes intellect. Now as a preacher Huck should know better. The Apostle Paul says something about faith and "things not seen"...but ever the televangelist...Huck likes that tiny audience that can see him over the masses who could otherwise hear him.

And then there's the inside the beltway factor. These cable news shows in the morning more or less just talk to each other and folks inside Washington. This puts a considerable dent into any claims of being an "outsider" that Huck makes....his cable fever indicates that he is just dying to be an insider (not to mention whatever it is that is driving his desire to stay in the race in the first place.)

Money where your mouth is...INTRADE dynamic very telling

Posted on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 08:19AM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright in | CommentsPost a Comment | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

The INTRADE phenomenon is one of the most telling dynamics in modern polling. (see INTRADE.com for more info). It cuts right through all of the political correctness nonsense and "push polling" perversions and really gets to the heart of the matter...what do you REALLY think and will you back it up with cash.

Even if you are doing a practice trade with the 5 thou in practice cash...you don't want to lose. You will answer with your honest opinion. FURTHER...and this is key...if you don't know diddly about the issue..YOU WON"T PLAY on that issue. These two dynamics make it one of the more reliable surveys going. Obviously it isn't statistically sound, so it's not a good snapshot of the public per se. But it IS an accurate snapshot of the people in the poll...a step ahead of everybody else doing surveys this election cycle.

And what is INTRADE telling us? So far, those results are consistent with what BeatJohnMcCain.com is predicting. Obama will win the nomination and slaughter McCain in the general. The figures on the Dem nomination are in the 70-30 range in favor of B. Hussein Obama....while McCain winning the presidency in a separate poll is a loser...65-35 in round figures.

Which tells me INTRADE is a better place to put your money now than the DOW. With a liberal Republican running against a classic socialist in Obama...free enterprise's best hope is to get on some kind of endangered species list.

So just what is Huck's end game.....really?

Posted on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 08:08PM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright in | CommentsPost a Comment | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

What is Mike Huckabee up to? Certainly it is not trying to be nominated as the presidential candidate on the Republican side. Democrat John McCain has that all sewn up save a miracle. Of course, this is a tad inconvenient since Huckabee is still "running for the nomination," at least officially. He is chewing up tax payer and donor money in doing so.

Not that this ever bothers Huckabee. As a preacher turned politician, he is skilled in making a living off other peoples' money....and on living off his own....well, not so much. As a fraudulent presidential candidate, he is basking on the glow of both tax money and tithes...er...donations.

And it's this slippery side of Huck that really bothers us. The Fair Tax is a fabulous plan and would do wonders for the country in so many ways...and Huckabee promotes it with passion and rather well. He has some other good positions....but he contradicts those way too often as well. He also is rather mixed up on the issue of private charities and public responsibility....which would not be so bad except that he uses the Bible as the basis for his stand. Perhaps he should get some 1.75 readers and run through some of those Scriptures again.

But first I'd like to know what he is doing...really. The conventional wisdom is that he is positioning himself for the VP spot on the McCain ticket. That's too easy...besides...I don't think McCain will do that...and I don't ever believe "conventional wisdom." It rarely is wise.

Others say he wants to be chairman of the RNC. Maybe...but I don't see Huck as really warming up to that job. I don't see the RNC staffers warming up to him either. Of course, we need to get rid of all the RNC staffers, but that's another story altogther (link to this article).

Anyway, Huck won the small handful of folks who turned out today for the Kansas Caucuses...and he nipped McCain in Louisiana 43-42%. Louisiana is interesting in that much of the dependent class of folks now clutter the downtown of Houston Texas...including New Orleans mayor...and they just elected a fabulous young conservative governor named Bobby Jindal. Jindal is leadership material...but he's had way too much real job experience for McCain's liking...though he has been mentioned as a possible VEEP on the McCain ticket.

But back to Huck. What is he up to...really? And when will he "fess up" about it. Politicians being coy (we call it lying) is common place...but when you run as an ex-Preacher...you have set a higher bar for yourself.

JEFFERSON JACKSON DINNER TONIGHT IN VA? Yeah, which Jefferson and Jackson?

So the Dems are having their Jefferson-Jackson Dinner tonight in Virginia. Well good. I wonder if any of them have any idea who Jefferson and Jackson are? Let alone what they stood for...and what , if anything, that could possibly have to do with the modern day Democrats.

I figure the Jefferson and Jackson they are talking about are William Jefferson, Democrat congressman from Louisiana...he of the 99 thou in cold cash in his freezer. This of course makes him positively minor league as far as corrupt Louisiana politicians go. And the Jackson must certainly be the Reverend Jesse Jackson. Jackson, you might remember, needed some freezer cash to pay for one of his illegitimate "love children" a few years back.

These two corrupt operatives are certainly more consistent with what this party stands for now than Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson. For example:

"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government." - Thomas Jefferson. Let me translate this...a good government is one that does not over tax or over regulate work, success, business.

And you thought the hanging chads were funny.....

EVERY DEMOCRAT LAWYER WORTH HIS ATHEIST PLEDGE PIN might again descend on the state of Florida...or at least figuratively...with the phrase "disenfranchised" on his lips. Many pundits and Dem operatives are predicting a protracted fight for the official Democrat Presidential nomination and the chance to fight the un-official Democrat, John McCain, in the general election.

But this time they won't be fighting Bush and the GOP and hanging chads...they'll be fighting each other. It plays out like this. Obama and Hillary are more or less in a dead heat for delegates all the way to the convention. At this point, Hillary tries to leverage the "super delegates" to win the nomination. Obama will fire back with the fact that he won his delegates through representation and his side will claim that his voters are disenfranchised if she is allowed to leverage super delegates for the win.

Then the Hillary forces bring up the states of Florida and Michigan. Those states had "un-official" primaries due to their state parties breaking Democrat National Committee rules on scheduling the primaries. But there were millions of voters in those two states, with a record turn out in Florida. All this even though Pat Buchanan was not on the ballot.

And that brings us right back to the claims of "disenfranchising" Florida voters again (along with Michigan) if the DNC tries to enforce the non official status of the Florida and Michigan primaries. Sound familiar? And once again, it will be the Democrat apparatus that caused the problem. Only this time, that fact cannot be escaped...altho I am sure CNN and MSNBC will try and blame the Republicans for the problems in the Dem primary anyway. You know, "Bush Lied...No votes applied" or something like that.

Unlike the GOP primaries...most of which are "winner take all" state primaries, the Dems award delegates proportionately...so it is easy to imagine that Obama and Hillary...already very close in delegate count...could stay very close right through all of the primaries. With this, we could have lawyers for both candidates fighting it out for say, 37 days again, meaning the Democrats will not be able to start their "national campaign" until about mid October.

But even with that, McCain will not have a prayer. But it would be funny. And deliciously ironic. I wonder if any conservatives have any of those "Sore-Loserman" posters left?

CNBC'S HARWOOD DEMONSTRATES MORE MEDIA IGNORANCE ON CONSERVATIVES, MCCAIN, BLOOMBERG

Posted on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 09:57AM by Registered CommenterC. Edmund Wright in , | CommentsPost a Comment | EmailEmail | PrintPrint

CNBC (AND MSNBC AND NBC'S) JOHN HARWOOD just demonstrated more of the symptomatic formulaic idiocy of the mainstream media...stating that it is "good news for the Republicans" that NYC Mayor Bloomberg is not going to run for President. Bloomberg cites that he is happy with "the Maverick" getting the GOP nod and therefore does not see a need for him to save the nation.

Well thanks Bloomy. What a guy!

But back to Harwood. The analysis he reached can only be done with an inverted...and perverted..view of the electorate. Bloomberg is far more liberal than McCain and would only siphon off Republican votes in "blue state" America that no GOP candidate can win anyway. In Red states and swing states, Bloomberg would eat into the Democrat vote (more so if Hillary ran than Obama) and help the GOP. Net net? Bloomberg running would HELP the Republicans.

John Harwood....you need to "get out more."
